...winning trainer Matthew Dale is experiencing a hot run of late. The Canberra horseman has saddled six winners from his last 10 runners.

Dale, who has already tasted stakes success this year with Unanimously in the Canterbury Classic, said Not A Dancer might be given her chance in the Listed P J Bell Stakes (1200m) at Canterbury on April 13.

"We always thought she'd get a strong 1100m even though she's a free running filly,” Dale said.

"There's a couple of options between Sydney and Melbourne [for her next start] but we'll definitely be looking at getting her back here in two races time for some black type.”

On - course betting: The winner Not A Dancer opened at $3 before easing to $3.50. Hannah Jane opened at $4, eased to $4.60 before the punters charged in and she firmed to start $3.90 while General Sherman eased from $8 to $12. The on-course market closed at 112 percent.
